Vienna Ball

Just about every week I blog about an upcoming European event and I tag it with “Where I’d Rather Be”. This weekend I was there! My wife and I, along with some good friends, attended the Kaffeesiederball at the Hofburg in Vienna. Red carpets, tuxedos with tails, stunning dresses, chocolate sculptures, a royal palace, waltzing…what else could you ask for? It was truly a Viennese experience fit for a Hapsburg.

This is just the kind of travel experience Joobili hopes to inspire. Thousands of tourists pour through the Hofburg every day following guides with official badges spitting out historical oddities about Franz Joseph and discussing the patterns on the wallpaper. We didn’t tour those rooms, we waltzed through them!

Like I always say, timing is everything when it comes to travel. A ball at the Hofburg only happens a few times each year. Don’t miss it.
